Susan Mellon served as a director of Artist/Craftsman's Information Service of Washington, D.C., and was active within that organization in the development of the Standard Art Consignment Agreement. Her other activities in the art field have included the management of a not-for-profit craft gallery in Connecticut, and her own work as a craftswoman-jeweler.
