Ronald Sharp is an attorney in private practice who specializes in divorce and family law. He has personally handled more than 1,800 divorce and custody cases since 1975. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Family Law Section of the State Bar, and the Washtenaw County Bar Association. He has been a guest instructor at Eastern Michigan University and has been a guest on local television and radio shows.

Sharp is a 1975 graduate of Wayne State University Law School in Detroit. He completed three years of law school in only two years by attending the University of Michigan Law School and Wayne State simultaneously in summer sessions. He passed the bar exam before graduation.

Born in Flint, Michigan, Sharp now lives and works in the Detroit area in Southeastern Lower Michigan. In addition to practicing law, he is a renowned Michigan figurative sculptor who has done numerous large outdoor commissions across the country. His wife, Susannah Keith, is a collage artist, operating the Farrington-Keith Creative Arts Center and gallery. The father of three, his son Liam is a law student at Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University and his two daughters, Elise and Tarah, are undergraduates at the University of Michigan.
