Rick Kaempfer was the executive producer of the John Records Landecker show on WJMK-Chicago from 1993—2003. During his tenure, the John Records Landecker show won the Achievement in Radio Award as Best Morning Show in Chicago (1997) and the Radio & Records Award as the best Oldies Morning Show in America (2001, 2002). From 1987—1991, Kaempfer was also the producer of the top rated Steve Dahl & Garry Meier show on WLUP Chicago. He has written and hosted national radio specials and his own comedy radio program.
Kaempfer also has a diverse writing background. He has written hundreds of radio bits, scripts, and parody songs in his career, and won numerous writing awards for his free lance writing projects for magazines and advertising agencies. He is particularly proud of his national grand prize award for an essay writing contest in 1999, and his award winning work for A.M.I.S.H. Chicago Advertising, an advertising agency (specializing in radio advertising) that he co-founded in 2000. While Rick is still consulting morning radio shows, he is now concentrating more time and effort in his business as the Senior Creative Vice President of A.M.I.S.H Chicago Advertising. Rick lives in suburban Chicago with his wife Bridget, and his three sons, Tommy, Johnny and Sean.
