Matthew Williams is a video production consultant who has created and facilitated hundreds of video productions in school, colleges, and community centers. A former teacher of the Jordan I. Mott Intermediate School in the South Bronx, he was one of the first educators to promote documentary filmmaking as a learning tool. With the support of the New York City Board of Education, he created a ground-breaking media literacy program that was emulated by countless other schools. He is the founder of the media education company, Illumination Media, and holds a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. The author currently studies at the School fo Cinema and Television at the University of Southern California and lives in Los Angeles.
